Opening Hours

The Queen Victoria Museum and Queen Victoria Art Gallery are open 10am to 4pm daily (closed Good Friday and Christmas Day). General admission is free.

Parking
Museum parking is available at the City of Launceston Inveresk Car Park. Art Gallery parking is available at the Launceston City Council’s Paterson Street West Car Park. For information click here.

Catch the Tiger
A City of Launceston Sustainable Transport Strategy initiative, the free Tiger Bus is available throughout the day to provide easy access to the Museum, Art Gallery and Planetarium and other City of Launceston attractions. For route information please call 03 6323 3000 or click here.

Disability Access
Six (6) parking bays, marked for disability access, are available adjacent to the front entry portal of the QVMAG Museum at Inveresk. The car park is flat and access to the Museum’s front door is level with entry to this car park off Invermay Road, Inveresk.

A wheelchair is available at both Museum and Art Gallery sites for use by visitors. Please enquire at the visitor information desk on arrival. Booking a wheelchair in advance of your visit is advised by calling 03 6323 3777.

The Museum and Art Gallery have accessible toilets. Please enquire at the visitor information desk at either site.

Lift access is available to level one exhibitions at the Art Gallery and exhibitions at the Museum on the mezzanine of the John Lees Atrium. Guide dogs are welcome at both sites. See Website accessibility.

Children
A Parent’s room is located at both the Museum and Art Gallery. Children under 12 years of age must be supervised by a responsible person over 16 years of age at all times.

Photography and Electronic Devices
Please feel free to take flash-free photographs for personal use, unless otherwise stated. Tripods may not be used.

Smoking
The Museum and Art Gallery are both strictly non smoking buildings.
